I'm back. Hopefully I'll stay awhile. Sorry I haven't had many posts lately. Life has gotten crazy busy. Adjusting to full time classes was hard. I like most of my classes. My favorite is probably my World Literature for Children. We read books for children and discuss them. I just finished reading "Because of Winn Dixie," It was an amazing story. I've had a bit of school work to do and trying to get everything organized and situated with my job has been a little crazy. I'm going home tomorrow and I am very excited. I hope that you all are doing well. I am trying to catch up on reading everyone's blog.
I hope you had a happy Thursday.

I wish I was confident enough to pull off this amazing dress. I love that it looks like a butterfly. I simply love it. It has a romantic feel.
I am so excited because my early classes for tomorrow and Friday are canceled. And we have a football game on Saturday! I'm excited. I've actually missed going to the games. Shocker, I know. The main reason I'm so excited is because I got a new dress to wear (not quite as wonderful as the one above but I like it). I'm thinking of maybe starting a type of series, which I would have a post dedicated to it once a week...but I'm having a creative block. Any ideas?

Hello. I hope you all had a wonderful Labor Day Weekend. I hope you got to spend time with some wonderful people in your life and relax. My weekend was pretty good. Tim's family came for a visit and that was fun. I always enjoy spending time with them. Other than that I didn't really do much. I had a lazy weekend, which was much needed. Tomorrow I have my first day of "work" and I am kind of nervous. I hope everything will run smoothly. *fingers crossed* I just love this picture. It makes me feel very peaceful. I found it on weheartit.
Tell me about your lovely weekend.

It's the weekend. Finally! And it's a three day weekend. I hope that you had a great week. I hope you spend your weekend relaxing. I am hoping to get some reading in, maybe outside if it's nice and warm out. I think I will take a break from blogging this weekend. I want to wish you a fabulous weekend. See you next week.

Today I finished reading "The Time Traveler's Wife" by Audrey Niffenegger. I absolutely loved this book. It was one of the best books I've read recently. It was a such a fabulous story of how strong love really is. I enjoyed reading from Henry's point of view as well as Clare's. It was confusing at first but as I continued to read it got easier to keep up. I would say more but I don't want to give anything away. There were times I was laughing recand times when I was on the verge of tears, which to me qualifies as a great book. I found Niffengger's writing style to be wonderful. I loved how descriptive she was. I highly reccomend this book. I think everyone should read it. I'm torn as whether or not to see the movie. Has anyone read the book and seen the movie? If so, what did you think?

Today was a wonderful day. It was a gorgeous day outside. My classes weren't too terrible. I made a delicious dinner tonight. Tim and Buddy (a.k.a. Tim's roommate) came over. I made baked chicken, brown rice, and crescent rolls. I also made yummy chocolate chip cookies for dessert. They came over and we sat outside on our lovely deck along with one of my roommates. After dinner we played our own version of Trivial Pursuit. It was a fun evening full of laughter. And I get to cross one more thing off of my 101 Things list. I also received a lovely comment that warmed my heart. I hope you had a wonderful day as well.
(P.S. One of my favorite pictures of Tim and I, even though it's like 3 years old)
One of my favorite bloggers, Brooke, over at Playing Grown Up is hosting a giveaway. She is giving away one of these fabulous chalkboards, hand painted by her personally. I highly recommend you take a look at her lovely blog as well as her Etsy shop. I simply love these chalkboards.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy college and I can not wait to be a teacher. I know that I will love being an Elementary school teacher. But some days I just wish I could be a 1950's housewife. Tonight I made peanut butter cookies (they were delicious, wish I could share them with you). I shared cookies with my room mates and my interesting neighbors. I want to be the mom on the block that makes the best cookies as Monica Geller would say. Something about baking makes me feel really domestic and I enjoy it. Crazy right? I am completely excited that my dreams of becoming a teacher are finally coming true. But I think being a 1950's housewife would be fun. Maybe that's what I will be for Halloween.
What are some of your dreams?
