You have not been Forgotten

My dearest bloggers, I apologize for not writing in a long time. Since I have started working full time recently I haven't had quite as much free time. This past weekend was full of birthday celebrations. My wonderful Tim turned 21 yesterday. We spent all weekend celebrating. Saturday we spent quality time with his family, which is always fun. Then Sunday I took him out for his birthday dinner at our favorite Japanese restaurant. It was delicious. My mother's birthday was also yesterday, she would be upset if I told you her age. So last night I celebrated with her and my family.

In book news, I have finished two books. Yay! I finished reading "Remember Me" by Sophie Kinsella. I very much enjoyed this book. I love Kinsella's writing style and her books always make me giggle. The main character wakes up after a car accident and can not remember the last three years of her life. The book is about her struggle to figure out the person she has become and why she is that way. It was a good self-discovery book and an enjoyable read. I definitely recommend it.

I also finished the boo "Hot" by Julia Harper. This was a very interesting read. It was different from the books I normally read but I enjoyed it. I felt like it went on for too long but then something exciting would happen and I just had to find out what was going to happen.

Five down, fifty to go.

Enchanted

I had my first full day at work today. It was fun, I enjoyed all the comments and stories the children had to share with me. They make me laugh so much. I find there is nothing better than the sweetness and laugh of a child. I have to admit sometimes they drive me crazy but I love them.

After a long but fun day I came home and watched the movie "Enchanted" with my mom and sister. I love this movie. It is so adorable and uplifting. I love the songs and the story line. I also love the wonderful adorable Amy Adams. While watching this movie I giggled like a little girl.

I finished my third book! Yay! I read "The Lovely Bones" by Alice Sebold. It was a really good book. I could not put it down, quite a page turner. The beginning was sad but I still enjoyed reading the book. There was one part near the end that I found somewhat odd and wasn't too fond of. I enjoyed this book and it was definitely worth the read. Only fifty-two left. On to my next book which I received in the mail yesterday.

Have a fabulous day!

Craft Day

Today I decided to make a craft. I saw this craft here and I have been desperately wanting to make it. It is a cute box made completely out of paper. It was my first attempt so it is far from perfect. But I still like it. Here are some photos:

This is what it looks like closed. A pretty gift box.

This is the open view with the lid on the side. You can fill it with all kinds of things such as treats or use it as a jewelry box.

This is the out side piece open with the lid next to it.

Here is a top view. I can't wait to find something cute to put in each box and then drop them off on the doorstep of some of my favorite people.

I really love the boxes created here. They are so cute and I love the embellishments.
I hope you had a fabulous Friday and enjoy your weekend. :]

UP

Today Tim and I went to see the movie UP. It was an adorable movie. I loved it. This movie made me sad and happy all at the same time. UP was one of the cutest movies I have seen in a while. I enjoyed it very much. You should go see it!

In book news, I just finished reading "The Shack" by William P. Young. It was a good book, very eye opening. It is a very spiritual book. Throughout the read some things shocked me and some parts I had to reread several times to grasp the concept. I enjoyed this book and I definitely recommend it. I am not sure what to say about the book without giving everything away. You should just read it. :]

Fifty-three left...
Enjoy your evening!

One Down, Fifty-Four to Go.

I finished my first book for the summer goal. Yay! I read "Something Blue" by Emily Giffin. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Although, I was not a big fan of Darcy after reading "Something Borrowed" but I was amazed at how much I liked her by the end of this book. While reading this book I was torn between feeling sympathy for Darcy or just being upset with how shallow she was. It was definitely full of surprises and twists and turns. It was a fun, light read. My emotions were changing with every page I turned. It was hard for me to put the book down. If you enjoyed "Something Borrowed" you will enjoy this book. I definitely recommend this book.

So one down, fifty-four to go. I will be happy for your suggestions on a good read.
Hope you had a great Monday!!
