My Goal for the Summer

I am a complete nerd but I am going to set a goal for the summer. I want to read a total of 55 books between now and the end of summer. I am starting with my first book, Something Blue by Emily Giffin. I will try to post my reviews or opinions of the books as I finish them. Hopefully I will be able to accomplish this goal. Wish me luck.

Have a wonderful evening!

Family, gotta love them no matter what. I am moved home from college for the summer and have been adjusting to living with my family again. I come from what I consider a big family, immediate and extended especially in comparison to my friends. I have two wonderful sisters and an amazing brother. My life would be dull without them.

My older sister, Megan, a recent college graduate has started her own jewelry line. Her items are hand made and exquisite. You should check out her blog, MegMichelle as well as her Etsy store. I really hope you will look at her stuff and find something you like.

Today has been a good day, I received my tax refund (finally) along with a book from PaperBack Swap. And I have a date with my fabulous boyfriend tonight. Could life get any better?

Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Mini - Muffins

I have been wanting a Mini-Muffin pan for several months, but I could never find the right price. Last week I did. I looked at 3 stores. One store was selling a 24-count one for $20, too expensive. Another sold a 24-count for $9, which was still a little too much for me. Then I went to Wal-Mart and found a 24-count mini-muffin pan for only $2. I was ecstatic. I went ahead and bought the muffin mix as well. One box of muffin mix made 48 mini muffins. My family gobbled them up. They were so cute and fun. Then yesterday I decided to make mini-cupcakes. One box of cake mix made 72 mini- cupcakes, which is a lot. And I had to make 9 regular size cupcakes to use up the rest of the batter. I had lots of fun making them even though it took a while. I added icing and sprinkles to make them more exciting. Also these cupcakes are fun to eat because they don't contain as much calories as a regular size cupcake. I didn't feel as guilty eating them, I just had to be careful not to eat more than a couple. I need to go back and get another pan before Wal-Mart changes their prices. This $2 mini-muffin pan caused me to have a fun week filled with baking. :]

I love movies. I enjoy watching movies. Yesterday Tim and I went to see Monsters vs. Ailens. It was very cute and I really enjoyed it. I love to see movies made for children, I find them quite funny. I am now old enough to get the "grown-up" jokes and I still laugh at the little kid jokes. I suggest watching one of your favorite movies from when you were child and see if you pick up on any new jokes.

Bubbles and Chalk

I love bubbles. They are so much fun and children get so excited about them. Drawing with chalk is also always fun. My sister and I played with bubbles and chalk today and had a blast. Check out the dollar store and see if you can find something to help you embrace your inner child. I promise you will have fun.
